This week at Maple Grove Preschool and Childcare, we are learning all about what makes each child special and unique through our All About Me theme.

Throughout the week, the children will explore their names, families, feelings, favorite things, physical characteristics, and the many ways people can be alike and different. We will talk about how everyone has their own interests, strengths, ideas, and experiences that make them who they are.

Our learning activities will include practicing name recognition and early writing skills, looking at similarities and differences, identifying emotions, talking about family members, creating self-portraits, and using math skills to compare things such as height, age, eye color, and favorite choices.

During circle time, we will encourage the children to share about themselves and listen to their classmates. This helps build confidence, language skills, self-awareness, and a sense of belonging in our classroom community.

Our goal during All About Me Week is for every child to feel proud of who they are while also learning to appreciate and celebrate the uniqueness of others.

We are looking forward to a wonderful week of learning, sharing, and getting to know one another even better!
